Flora & Fauna of Panna Tiger Reserve

Panna Tiger Reserve is rich in both plant and animal life. The forest mainly consists of dry deciduous trees such as teak, tendu, mahua, and bamboo. Along the Ken River, you can also see grasses, bushes, and river-side plants that help support a healthy forest environment.

While the park is known for its tigers, you may also spot leopards, chinkaras, nilgai, sambar deer, sloth bears, and wild dogs. Near the rivers and water bodies, crocodiles and snakes are commonly seen.

Bird lovers will enjoy Panna too—more than 200 bird species live here, including vultures, kingfishers, eagles, and the beautiful paradise flycatcher. The mix of forests, open land, and water makes it an ideal home for many different types of wildlife.
